ETH: Tell us about your shop and how you got started.
Courtney: I have always had a fascination with the recent past. I've been researching my own genealogy for years, and the items these people lived with or among have always intrigued me. So researching, hunting, and selling vintage goods is a natural for me. It's been an incredibly fun and educational journey.
ETH: What is your specialty?
Courtney: I seem to gravitate toward paper ephemera and photographs. Receipts, invoices, envelopes, post cards - these everyday things - in that beautiful handwritten cursive I just find absolutely beautiful. And photographs! I can stare at them for hours trying to imagine what their lives were like.
ETH: What vintage find is your current favorite?
Courtney: The vintage circus photo album. It's such a cool glimpse of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus circa 1951. I've been researching "the vintage circus" a lot lately, and am currently compiling a blog post about it.
View the album here.
ETH: Etsy is such a great tool. What has it done for you?
Courtney: Etsy has given me a focused audience - people looking for quality vintage. Not to mention the community - it's a great support system. I learn more from every person I interact with. It's really wonderful.
ETH: We are thrilled to have you on ETH, how did you find us?
Courtney: I think I found ETH in an online search trying to find info on Etsy treasuries. There were so many incredible treasuries featured that I bookmarked the site so I could return often. Then when two of my treasuries were featured, I was hooked!
ETH: Your shop is fantastic! What else would you like readers to know about your shop?
Courtney: I have A LOT more items to list (and am finding more every week!), so please check back often. I also will seek out specific items if someone is looking for something they can't seem to locate. And yes, I ship internationally!
Thank you to Courtney, and we look forward to seeing more of your wonderful finds here on Etsy Treasury Hunter!
